Paratacamite

(Chemical symbol Cu2(OH)3Cl). A pale green, powdery copper chloride corrosion product formed by the hydrolysis and oxidation of cuprous chloride. Its presence on a copper alloy artefact is a symptom of bronze disease. Paratacamite is chemically identical to atacamite, but it has a hexagonal rather than an orthorhombic crystal form.
