Finishing

The cleaning, polishing, patinating, and coating of castings. Finishing applies to all of the operations to take the casting from the 'as-cast' condition to the final condition, and includes such operations as glass-bead peening to clean the surface, fettling, chasing, grinding, polishing, etc.
